LUSH christmas stuff

so i thought "lets try lush again" because i used to buy face masks n what not from there a few years ago but everytime i went in i couldn't look around without being asked if im ok or need any help so i felt a little too pressured to buy stuff. but as i have a xmas job i thought its time to buy some! and this time i wasnt attacked as soon as i walked in!

I got the wee harry bath melt,

so white bath bomb

 fabulous Mrs fox bath melt

and Santas rice porridge.

I've used the so white bath bomb but it didn't really do much for me only frothed a little but that might be because i had a REALLY hot bath.

The wee harry bath melt is really nice! it smells of cinnimon, turns the water red and gives a really good amount of bubbles with on 1/3 of the thing!

The face mask is really lovely it smells of almonds and has cranberries in and many other things that i don't know, its £4.75 for a tub which seems expensive (to me anyway) but it will give many applications. I only cover my face with a thin layer and leave it on for 10 mins then remove in a circular motion then it turns milky and makes my skin feel super super soft! i love it!

The fabulous mrs fox smells of aniseed which i'm not keen on as i hate the taste of it but i got it as it gives money towards anti fox hunting things, so i bought it to help save some foxes :).

so far i'm starting to really like lush! so hopefully there will be some more reviews and "hauls" to come :)

Urban Decay book of shadows 2

I've never tried urban decay, i want to try the primer potion but i have a few primers already so i thought i'd wait till they have run out but i saw the book of shadows 2 and thought what a great way to test their products also the eyeshadows are GORGEOUS!

This is the front, not as nice as the first one but it has a fabric texture and "shiny" print

Inside is the mirror and a little compartment with a little book with some pictures and advice. I love the peacock feather design.

Heres what your here for, it comes with a mini udpp and 2 eyeliners. The shadows are really pretty and what i would wear day to day as there's grey, pink, browns and purples. The greens and blues i wouldn't really use but i think they would be nice under the eye. The bottom right is the most surprising as it looked grey but when swatched it is turquoise when the light hits it.

The colours are really pigmented and shimmery, i think this palette is all i need! the colours are perfect

It is a little pricey at £27 but 16 eyeshadows, a primer and 2 eyeliners is a really good deal! (It was on my xmas list but i couldn't wait that long!)

L'Oréal Paris Double Extension Renewal Serum Inside Mascara review

 (thats a long title!)

I Love this mascara!! It has a white part and a black part. The white sometimes goes clear when it is left to dry which is a good thing, no white eyelashes. It is lengthening and separates the lashes nicely, it doesn't clump or flake! and it is cry proof!!(for me anyway) so in the windy days when your eyes are watery you wont get panda eyes.

The brushes are average, they could be better but they get the job done.

The white is the better part as it is more lengthening than the black, i think the black is just to cover up the white.
As you can see the packaging is gorgeous! shiny navy blue and gold.

Overall i love it! i don't think my lashes have grown or got thicker but i think i would definatly buy it again because of the mascara!

MAC DazzleGlass- like venus

I'm in love with this! I've never thought of buying one until i bought one off a blog sale a few days  ago. So when i was near my MAC store i went in and asked for a purply one, when i was trying them out in store they were really sticky and gloopy but i think its due to them being tested out all the time. I bought it and when i opened the box i saw this

A pink with a purple background.i could have looked it all day!
It smells of vanilla. It is quite sticky and not recommended for windy days. It lasts for ages! I went to bed and put some on(..weird)and i woke up in the morning and it was still there! not as sticky as when i put it on but still sparkly.

Heres a few lip swatches

(can't see the sparkle..thanks camera)

It nudes out my lips slightly and surprisingly but whenever i walk past a mirror i stop and move my head so i can see the sparkle or dazzle..lol. I was a bit secpitcal before buying because i thought i could go into boots and get one for half the price but no drugstore (that i've come across) has the gorgeousness of these!

I highly recommend these...even though i would only be able to buy one or two at a time they are a lovely treat! I've already searched through ebay and ordered Stop! Look! and i've brought baby Sparks from Loraine!'s blog sale so stay tuned for more excuses for you to go buy one! :P

boots order and notd!

Heres my recent boots order.. i ordered loreal derma genesis day cream, loreal paris double extension with the serum mascara, sexy mother pucker lip plumper in nude, batiste blush dry shampoo and maybelline lipstick in ambre rose.

The day cream had £5 off making it £10.95, mascara had £3 off making it £7.76!!

I got a sample of the day cream and it really illuminated my face and made it feel smoother but a sample warning they put a higher concentration of ingredients in the samples. However the full size still illumiates my skin but not as much as the sample.
So far i love the mascara as it has got every single eyelash and given them a good amount of length but i hope the serum makes them grow!!

Heres the swatches of the lip plumper in nude and Ambre Rose lipstick.
Sexy mother pucker is a little more brown than nude but smells like chocolate and has a nice tingle feeling. I must say that my top lip is definatly bigger and i've only had it on for 15mins!
I love Ambre rose (recommended by Lollipop26) its a nice light pink with a sprinkle of gold through it!

and finally heres my notd

A light pink base with konad hearts all over! (took a long time but worth it!)

Konad review

I went to Nottingham to look at the Uni, had a walk around the town and found a stall selling konad!! yay! i bought the kids set for £20 got home and realised i could buy it online for £12.99!!
darn but who needs money these days anyway! *cough*

But i love it! it came with 3 polishes (red, white and blue) a stamper, scrapper and 2 discs. It is a little tricky to use with the scraping the nail varnish off the pattern without smudging it everywhere but the pattern comes out perfect once you've mastered the scrape. Then its just a stamp and roll.
atm i have red hearts all over my nails and i wish i had 10 hands so i can do all the designs (im soo impatient!) If your into nail art, wanting to get started or bored with a plain colours i would definatly recommend these!
heres the link for this set for £12.99 and free postage!! (jeez £8 i could have spent on make up gone)

MAC style black

YAY! its come to the uk!

here is what i got!! :)
(I saw they had it in the shop and i almost squealed with excitement)
Volcanic ash exfoliator, baby goth girl nail varnish and young punk eyeshadow!

I love the nail varnish but it does need 3 + coats to get an even finish.. but the colour makes up for that
but i do wish i had got a sample of the thermal mask because my store was sold out! in 1 day all the volcanic masks were gone...crazy!!

I really wanted to get one of the glimmerglasses (or whatever they are called) but i saw swatches and they were just gloss with a bit of glitter so i skipped them.
but yay style black.. i might go back and get some more :)

Home made hair and face masks

I felt like it was pamper day yesterday so i made a hair and face mask from what was in the kitchen

i made a face mask out of oats and honey!
about 4 tablespoons of oats and 1 1/2 of water put in the microwave for 30secs then added honey and slathered over my face! left it there for about 30mins..when i washed it off all of my redness around my nose and breakouts had gone and my pores seem smaller!! yay

I also made a hair mask!
I used honey and olive oil, about 4tbsps of honey and 1tbsp of oil, i first rinsed my hair with water then i put the mixture on in small batches, put a sandwich bag over the hair and waited about an hour then i washed my hair as normal and blew dryed it

I am AMAZED at the results my hair is soo soft and silky, it feels like i've just been to the hair dressers. My hair also seems a little lighter in colour..i'm definatly going to do this every few weeks!
I would recommend this to everyone! and its really cheap!

Thanks for reading and i would love to read some of your fav homemade beauty treatment!

a tinsy Rimmel London haul

I had a little trip to tesco and i saw they had a Rimmel London stand!!(yay make up in supermarket!!) They were doing a buy 2 get 1 free so heres what i got!
This nail varnish in blue vogue, which gives a really dark midnight blue colour, its not as dramatic as black which i love. The first coatr is a really horrible light/electric blue but the second coat is much better and darkens it (to my relief). The brush is the best brush i have ever used, its tapered at the top so u can get into the top without it going all over the cuticle. however it is taking along time to dry, i can still get indents and i did it about 3 hours ago.  (this was only £4.88) (meek n mild has a post with the same colour but Maybelline)
The next one is white eyeliner, so far so good, it had good staying power but was a little hard to apply to  my water line by for £2/£3 i don't mind!

Lastly is volume flash mascara (waterproof) it has a really long thin brush which i haven't seen before, it is really volumising but it's a little clumpy but i will do a full review after a few weeks of using it. This was £4/£5.

A productive trip to tesco!!

a little MAC haul

I've got a few things from the new mac collections (only a few), i didn't see anything that i could only buy from mac, most could be duped from boots or superdrug, but im waiting for the style black collection and d squared collection to come out because i really love the look of the greasepaint and marbled black eyeshadow with the blue or purple running through it...but heres what i got:

I got fix + to use for the next item, and it "set" my make up and "refresh" my face but i'm not to sure on how to use it, i supose it does make my face feel a bit nice in the morning.

Next is this beautiful glitter!!!(fushia glitter) I saw this on the website and on various hauls, loved and had to have it so as soon as i walked in the store i homed in on this. I'm only going to use this about 5 times but its great to have in my draw. I apply it with a wet brush, dab it in the glitter and spray with fix + then put it on my eye lid. (LOVE IT!)

and lastly pealglide eyeliner in Rave. It's sooo soft and goes on with the lightest touch, it's a dark purple with purple glitters through it. I really love this and might have to buy a few back ups because i do not want it to run out.

a little mascara review...

heres a few mascaras im currently using and what i think of them First is No.7 360 Lash at £11.50 This has a fiburous brush with different bristles poking out. This gives a light coating and separates all my lashes to give a really nice natural look, i have a lot of short lashes so it gives them a thicker look and slightly lengthens them. I would say that it gives average volume and average length so overall i really like this mascara! i would give it 7/10. Benefit : BAD gal Lash It has a huge brush, its fiburous and full to get all of the lashes (and skin if a little hasty with applying it). It doesn't give any volume but does give a nice length without making it look spidery but it does flake after a while but mine hasn't dryed out in the tube and i've had it for ages!! maybe end of last year begining of this year. but for £14.50 i think there are better ones on the market. I would give it 5/10 because it about average. I have recently bought Loreal volume shocking mascaraIt cost about £9.78. It has a white primer that slightly lengthens and separate the lashes, then the black side with a comb brush. When i first applied it i didn't like it because it just made my lashes clump together but after a few goes and a little bit of practise it made my lashes unbelieveably long, i could touch my eyebrows with my lashes!!! However it comes with a price, it made my lashes look a little spidery but its prefect for those who are looking for length. I would give this 8.5/10. Hope you enjoyed and it helped in your mascara choices Thanks for reading xx

my ELF prize! yay!

Oxfordjasmine was on blogtv doing giveaways and make up tutorials, and one of the giveaways was this.. She asked us to type a word and she would pick someone randomly, and she picked me! yippee! it came yesterday and i have not stopped looking at it or playing with it, It has the new blusher bronzer duo, which i LOVE, the bronzer its the perfect sunkissed shade for me, nice muted colours and sparkly blacks perfect for a night out. The lip products didn't look long lasting but they are! they stained my lips slightly so that the colour stayed for a good 3 hours! It also has a brow colour/powder which is also a perfect shade for me, not too dark and not too light. I apply it using the new elf studio contour brush to give a nice soft finish. So thank you elf and oxfordjasmine for putting this as a prize and i hope that many more are make because i LOVE it! Thanks for reading!!

an order from..starsmakeuphaven!!

I wanted a eyeshadow palette to hold my mac and elf shadows, so i went searching and they had mac ones on ebay for £20!! which is way too much then i came across starsmakeuphaven, they had loads and loads in there, mac, 2faced and their own brand. I ordered a 15 pan palette and 2faced lip injection, The palette holds mac, elf and urban decay eyeshadows and i think its smaller than the mac palette so i love that it fits in my draw and it doesnt take up that much space. It doesnt have a magnet in it and its foam but it was only a few pounds which is cheaper than the mac palettes..but hopefully in 7 eyeshadows time i can buy the mac one. I think it is a perfect size for holiday, i think its the size of two mac quad palettes, just putting a few eyeshadows in to cover all holiday situations.( i customized the inside with a mirror that was in the benefit realness of concealness kit and used a few stars) The 2faced lip injection was also in the order for a few pound as well, i don't really like this, its soooo sticky its hard to open my mouth when i've applyed it. The tingle is bareable like boarderline painful but not as "fun" and tingly as the sexy mother pucker lip plumper... i felt like my lips were a little fuller but not amazingly...so i think this will grow old in my draw.

Sekonda - chanel look alike!

I have loved the chanel j12 watch ever since i saw it in vogue a few years ago and have been wishing to win the lottery so i can buy one but thanks to BeautyMarked19 finding a look alike in argos i can have some of the dream... for £19.95!!! I went down to argos in the pouring rain to get my hands on this (thats how much i wanted it!) it came in a lovely white snake skin print box with a velvet cushion. I was a little confused on hoe to open it but after a few mins of trying i figured it out, i love it, it looks so seamless as the clasp is behind the strap so it cant be seen so it looks like a bangle! At first i was a little dissapointed as it is plasticy but once on my wrist i fell in love. It makes me look really tanned and looks exactly like the chanel and very very classy. so thank you BeautyMarked19 for telling the world about your find :) Thanks for reading!

Crown brush review

I ordered some brushes from www.crownbrush.co.uk a while ago so i thought i'll give a review.. i ordered a B2 blush, large chisel brush, a shadow crease, stiff tapered crease, a blending fluff and a bent eyeliner (same order in picture). They were soo cheap the most expensive was the large chisel brush at £4.69. The smaller blusher brush is a little on the synthetic crunchy side but still soft and picks up the product fine. The large brush is a great dupe for the MAC 134 with the size, its nice and heavy and i use it for contouring as it has a flat, slim end. The small blending brush was a bit smaller than i was expecting but does the job great and blends the colours together nicely. I love the next blending brush because it gets into my crease and has a tapered end which is great for putting dark colours right on the corner. The next brush is the large eye brush which i use for all over colour as a base. The last brush is the bent eyeliner brush which i don't really like because the end isn't tapered and pointed its just blunt however I'm used to angled brushed so i will have to get used it. The postage is about £3-£4 but i ordered mine before 12 and got it the next day!!! It came in an envelope with fragile and bubble wrap so they wouldn't get damaged I think crown brush is a great place to get brushes because they are soo cheap and affordable whereas drugstores have brushes for a much higher price and probably the same quality. They have hundreds of brushes on there so everyone will be able to find what they are looking for, they also do brush sets. I will definatly be buying again. Thanks for reading!!

An order from fragrance direct!

I was searching through looking for some cheap perfume and i found fragrance direct! they have loads of cheap stuff on there! so i ordered nyx lipgloss (£1.99), 2faced palette ( the starlette)(£2.99) and Nicki clarke colour revitaliser for brunette (£2.99 for 6) when i opened the box i thought what these are so small! but its OK, they look bigger on the website! This is the nyx lipgloss, i really like it but it is sheer i was hoping for the mac style warriors yellow lipgloss colour but it still gives a slight yellow tone. The smell reminds me of marzipan and the ear infection medicine i used to get when i was a child which i really like, it brings back memories of chicken pox (lol). The wand it very strange its like a stretched doe foot. But overall i really like it, im definatly going to order more and try and find a store that sell them in the uk. This is the colour revitaliser, it doesnt look very big but it has LOADS of product in, its brown like hair dye but i think it adds more brown to dull hair. I've only used it once and it took me a while to figure out it foams soi foamed it inbetween my hands and massaged it into my hair, left it for 10mins and washed it out then conditioned, I felt it made my hair dry but when i conditioned it felt fine. I've only used it once so far and i feel it did make my hair more multi toned and brought out my natural highlights, so far so good with this product. This is what the palette looks like! It has 2 lipglosses that turn really liquidy when you touch them, i really like the pink one because it's really glossy and makes my lips look pouty! The eyeshadows are very easy to pick up and very pigmented and very shimmer. There is a gold and a sparkly purple. The bronzer is very pigmented and is hard to blend so i need to use a fan brush so i dont get brown circles. But over all £2.99 well spent! Thanks for reading! Jodie xx

Home made Face mask!

I felt like a pamper day today and wondered how i could use the mint i had growing in my bedroom. I searched through the Internet but couldn't find anything of interest so made my own!! Ingredients: about 10 mint leaves a dribble of olive oil 3 tbsp of maple syrup (something sticky so golden syrup or honey would be fine) a 2cm slice of cucumber(chopped into small pieces or you can blend them into a paste) and a few tsp of cornflower(or something to make it thicker) (as you can see i picked up anything i could find) I put the mint in a little bowl (A pestle and mortar would be perfect), i use a rolling pin and broke the mint down(in a swirling motion) so the oil and juice can be released, i sloshed the oil in there to make it a little mixable. I continued to break down the mint for a few more minutes, added the cucumber and broke it down. I then added the maple syrup and stirred it, if it is too watery for you then add the cornflour to make it thicker. i went to the sink and put it onmy face, waited for about an hour and washed it off! My skin felt tighter and my pores looked invisible and my skin felt nice a soft! I hope this homemade face mask works for you to! and i hope you can understand my intructions! Jodie xx
